Crossover Experience racconta di viaggi, di tempi e di luoghi. Parla di mondi distanti solo in apparenza, narra di storie passate e presenti attraverso l’elemento che più di tutti ha sempre contraddistinto la tradizione musicale colta e non solo: la melodia.
Tradizione e modernità si incontrano
Protagonista indiscussa, la melodia rimbalza attraverso i secoli accompagnata dagli strumenti, dagli arrangiamenti e dalle formazioni più varie, mantenendo intatto il suo carattere regale, elegante e a tratti malinconico.
Tale compostezza e tali caratteristiche, palesate anche grazie all’impiego di una vocalità a tutti gli effetti crossover, vengono sorrette in questa sede da strumenti ed arrangiamenti moderni, sovente associati, tra gli altri, a generi musicali come il Metal, il Progressive e il Rock.
Il progetto: incrocio e visione
Il forte contrasto, così come la contaminazione, sono per tanto alla base del progetto che, al pari di un incrocio, funge da raccordo tra passato e presente e, forse, proietta il musicista e l’ascoltatore verso un possibile futuro carico di una tradizione bisognosa di essere preservata talvolta anche mediante vie meno convenzionali.
L’Esperienza dell’ascolto
Non è solo musica, è un’esperienza immersiva.
Il passato in questo caso non suggerisce solo un modo di intendere l’arte musicale ma anche il come fruirla riportando l’ascolto e il momento presente al centro di tutto.
